RTOG Data Exchange Sample Data Files

The "seedtest" data set

This data set contains sample RTOG exchange files for a prostate seed implant case. In addition some sample output files from the generic data-exchange sample programs are included.

• The file "read_x_tape.log" is the logfile produced by the following command:
  
   read_x_tape -d seedtest -p X -b 2048 -m 1111111111 -l read_x_tape.log -s
  
  
• The file "ident_x_tape.out" is the result of:
  
   ident_x_tape -d seedtest -b 2048 -s > ident_x_tape.out

The "prostex" data set

This data set contains sample RTOG exchange files for an RTOG 9406 (external beam) prostate case. In addition some sample output files from the generic data-exchange sample programs are included.

• The file "read_x_tape.log" is the logfile produced by the following command:
  
   read_x_tape -d prostex -p X -b 2048 -m 1111111111 -l read_x_tape.log -s
  
  
• The file "ident_x_tape.out" is the result of:
  
   ident_x_tape -d prostex -b 2048 -s > ident_x_tape.out

    HOW TO DOWNLOAD FILES    

The sample data are provided in three forms. For those with UNIX systems, there is a compressed 'tar' file which contains all of the individual data files. Data files are also available as a self-extracting 'zip' file for Windows systems. If neither of these options works for you, you may download the data files individually.

In order to download these files, it is necessary to understand how your browser can be instructed to download a file. In Netscape it is identified as Save Link As.... In Internet Explorer it is identified as Save Target As.... You will then be prompted by your browser software to specify a location and name for the individual file. If you click on the links in the standard way, the file will be displayed (excepting the 'tar.Z' files which will display giberish on your screen).
